This month, the Learning & Performance Institute celebrates 20 years of raising the profile of L&D in the workplace and they've challenged all of us working in the industry to make a 20 second video about what has been the biggest development in L&D in the last 20 years.
I like a challenge... so here is my 20 second video which I had great fun making with my business partner Martin Belton and our developer Sam. Martin and I set up xtols earlier this month to build brand advantage for innovative HR and learning organisations. We're not officially launching until next month but we've already got some great clients on board pushing the boundaries of L&D.
Our thanks go to PAULEY, NTAR, NSARE, the Department of Transport and Sydac for providing such a great environment for us to shoot this video on our iPhones at the opening of NTAR last week. Hopefully we've captured just how big a transformation in learning there has been in the past 20 years from blackboards and chalk to virtual learning environments.
If you work in the L&D industry and you have 20 seconds to spare then get shooting your video. The LPI will be announcing the winning video later this week which will net the lucky makers two tickets to the prestigious Learning Awards gala event at The Dorchester on 4 February 2016.
